Trinity Christian School Reviews

We have a 3 year old and a 13 year old. Both have attended this school for 2 years now. We love the teachers and the love they show for each child. The education they receive is phenomenal! They are a very close knit set of children, and they are all very accepting of new students. I would recommend this school to any parent looking for a great loving, Christian environment.

I cannot express how much I love this school. My three sons attend, one is is second grade, one is in pre-K, and the third is in the 2 year old nursery class. I pray to God that I can keep them at this school as long as possible. My oldest son started in kidnergarden and was diagnosed with a learning disability. He was enrolled in their Discovery program and he recieves special attention and therepy two times a week. It worked wonders, he is now in 2nd and is in the gifted program and reading way beyond his grade level. Like I said, if you are looking for a private Christian school in or near Apopka, Trinity is the place you want to be.

Both of my kids have attended Trinity. Both of my kids have experienced Christian guidance, loving but firm teachers, a strong Bible based curriculum and have exceeded far beyond my expectations. My husband and I are very happy with TCS. Our firm belief in Christian education helped us search for the right school. I agree that the music program is one of the strongest assets. But, the Accelerated Reader program, the computer access, new playground and the strong Christian guidance are also assets. My child that is now in high school has been able to start high school with a strong Christian foundation that Trinity, along with us and our church, helped him build. He is excelling in Honors and AP classes. Both of my children learned to read in the Preschool program at TCS. Both are top readers. I applaud the job that TCS is doing.

Both of my children have attended Trinity for several years. Most of my experiences with teachers and staff have been positive. Many upgrades were done on the campus during the summer which have greatly improved the appearance of the school. The curriculum is very sound and challenging. The music program at Trinity is of a very high quality with all students taking violin in 4th grade and then given a choice of violin or band in 5th grade. Middle school music choices include band, violin, or chorus.

I have had all three of my children attend TCS from nursery through 7th grade and they were academically challanged and spiritually nurtured. Teachers love the Lord and are caring and encouraging. TCS prepared my children wonderfully for high school. I'm proud of TCS and what they stand for. They take a stand against the wavering politics of today's society and encourage parent involvement and imput. God bless TCS for the role this school has played in my life and in the lives of my children!

Trinity has a really good curriculam that challenges me, and prepares me for high school and even college. The teachers on the other hand are self-centered, and don't put their heart into their teaching. Not all of the teachers, just a very good handful of them. I've been surviving middle school, probably because of Mrs.Tyre's soft and always open heart. She is the best teacher you could ever have. But with her absence for my last year in the 8th grade (2006-2007) I'll have to put the bad thoughts of the past behind me and think of Mrs.Tyre in my heart.-13

Trinity was the only school in the Apopka area at the time we were looking for a private, christian based school that went through the 8th grade. It has a great curriculum that has challenged my children. They are ahead of their peers academically that are in the public school system. Small class sizes are a plus also. On the down side, the teachers and staff fall very short when it comes to practicing what they preach. Their handbook speaks of christian love, encouraging attitudes, etc. yet they totally lack these qualities. Verbally abusing children yet smiling in their parents faces should not be happening, but, sad to say, it does. Too many of them have been there so long they forgot their own mission statement. They will all have to give an account on judgment day for their actions. If you don't love what you do, find another.

My grandson loves this school! He is treated with respect and his learning has improved much, since we enrolled him here. I believe that a child trated with courtesy, respect and compassion will leran with much gusto! Hurray for trinity christian, I am just sad they dont have a high school! I am praying for one.

My daughter has attended this school from the preschool 3 year old class through 5th grade. For the most part the teachers have been wonderful in their abilities to bring out the best in my child. I have only had one bad experience with a teacher at this school and as a parent I had the opportunity to voice my opinions when issues arose and know that parental opinions and involvement are encouraged. The school has provided an excellent academic, music and art curriculum. They are probably not as strong in the sports area but have been able to provide adequate sport curriculums with the limited space they have available. Using the local recreational leagues and clubs have given our daughter the additional sporting venues she needed. The school has strong music programs providing violin, cello, and piano private lessons in addition to the band and chorus curriculums. Also excells academically.

Trinity does offer the students a Christian curriculum, but they tend to ignore the students and parents feelings and opinions. The 'ruling' eprsonnel at Trinity are myopic and only consider what is best for themselves, not the student. Trinity will learn a hard lesson next year, 2007 school year, when they lose a great deal of their students to public school.

My son is in nursery school. There is a turn over of staff, often. When problems arise, the Early Childhood headmaster is very good at getting them resolved.

Trinity Christian School is no doubt a superior learning institution. It is very structured and disciplined. The have just added internet capability to all classrooms and started the accelerated reader program last year. They have refurbished both playgrounds. In the 2005-2006 school year they have added Spanish class to the curriculm. The class sizes are small as well. They offer before and afterschool care as well as a summer day care program.

Excellent school, providing solid christian education combined with the educational skills needed to transfer to public or alternate private schools.

This is a wonderful school. I have enjoyed my daughter's first year of Kindergarten here very much. Mrs. Sharp is very patient and understanding when it comes to teaching the children. I wish they had an alternative language class for the children to be able to learn a different language I think that would be great. The activities they have are generally for the older students so I have not experienced any of that.

My son used to go to this school. Although from the academic point of view it was very good, but I wasn't pleased with the school staff and the principal. I didn't find them freindly. My son and I feel more welcomed at his new public school.

Two of our children attended TCS (3yo,K,1). K was a good experience. 1 was not. Administrator berated parents at a meeting that we didn't pay enough; other schools charged more; therefore they could not attract teachers. Tuition was raised; many students left for quality vs. tuition comparison. State vouchers are accepted up to $7,000 per year. Expect a gradual rise to that amount. Classrooms are overcrowded with sometimes more than 22 per tiny room. Shockingly, most teachers do not have a Florida Dept of Education Teachers' Certificate. Extremely heavy on the fundraising, and they will berate you (or humiliate your child) if you do not satisfactorily participate (buy school photos (2x/year), walk-a-thon, etc. Parent involvement is discouraged. Even though a school may state it is a Christian environment, and appears so on the outside, please be aware there may be more at work than an eager service of faith.

This school is great! The classrooms are a little basic but thats okay because the great staff makes up for that. Thank God For TCS

Our 6-year-old daughter attends Trinity and she loves it. She's already reading chapter books, doing addition and telling time. Great school!
