Hi, folks! Basically, there's not much to say about me. I have a lot of interests, though most are of the geeky sort. I enjoy reading and gaming, as well as having ambitions of writing.

I'm 26 years old, and have been a resident of Buffalo NY my entire life. Recently graduated with a BA in English, I am considering higher education in the near future, though nothing concrete yet. I'm looking on this site for an opportunity to meet new people, whether for friendship, casual conversation, or something more (which, to be honest, is my eventual hope but I'm not planning to force any expectations.) As I said before, I am fairly nerdy, and would prefer to meet someone with similar hobbies as mine.

Listing some of my basic hobbies here. First off is anime. Despite first assumptions, this does not mean that I am a pure Japanophile, and love everything from that country. I simply enjoy many anime series, so I often look for new ones there. I like both video games and pen and paper games, since I am a big fan of general creativity, and will take any chance I get to participate in these. I enjoy most books, especially of the fiction genres of Fantasy and Sci Fi, though I enjoy general Humor as well.

I'm a cheerful, friendly guy. I like to have fun, I consider myself to have a good sense of humor. I'm a bit introverted, but mostly by habit, not by actual shyness. I prefer to avoid fights and arguments rather than participate.

I am currently in graduate schoo, and thus have moved from Buffalo to Orlando for the moment. the school is for video game design, so keeping the nerd focus going!

A self-summary, huh... Well, let's see, I'm about 26 lbs. carbon, apparently 94 lbs oxygen, mostly part of water, 13 lbs Hydrogen, also mostly water, about 2.4 lbs calcium...

So, in case that didn't say it in big, flashing, neon letters, I'm kind of a geek. I'm a daydreamer, often lost in thought, but I've also got my feet planted firmly on the ground. So... you can imagine me all freakishly tall and spindly with my head literally up in the clouds, blowing in the wind, and my feet rooted in one spot... Of course, you can imagine me as a dancing goldfish in a tophat if you want. It's your imagination, after all.

I'm kinda artsy (I am a digital artist). I spend a great deal of my time dreaming up worlds and coming up with stories, etc. I just love world-building, and one of my favorite things is a really well-developed fictional environment and history.

I'm generally pretty quiet. I'm not so great at carrying conversation, I have a tendency to fumble flirting, so I apologize for any hiccups that are bound to happen in early communications. Despite that, I'm quite friendly, occasionally charming, and and excellent listener. When I get going, I'm told I can be a bit verbose. When I write, I am undoubtably so (depending on how much time I have to write). I can be a bit mopey sometimes, but at the end of the day, I've always got a pretty positive outlook. I'm really enjoying where I am in life now. I have my reclusive tendencies, but I'm looking to come out of my shell more.

I figured I should add something about my current life situation and what I'm looking for. Since there doesn't appear to be a section for that, I'll put it here.

I'm in a really intensive grad program here in Orlando, so at the moment my life is mostly consumed by school. On top of that, chances are I'll be moving away to another state when I get an internship/job this fall.

I don't have a ton of free time right now to put into my personal life in general, let alone a relationship, and I probably won't be in Orlando for the whole year, so I'm really not looking for anything too serious. I'm just interested in meeting/dating a few different people (Not sure if I'll be able to find the time to DO that, but that's the plan) and maybe trying out a simple, short-term relationship.

I'm definitely open to a more serious relationship if it happens, but it's not something I'm specifically aiming for right now.

I love to snorkel, scuba and free dive to reefs. In the last 10 years of my life I have not done that at all and I would love to meet someone likes the same. I love to travel, I have seen 5 countries before the age of 15 years, and have seen many different things some great and some not. I have my own apartment, car, and a nice life, but I feel that something is missing. I am very family and friend oriented. I have an AMAZING group of supportive people in my life who have always been there for me. I have a degree in Culinary Arts and worked as a chef out at Disney for three years. You'd never guess it but I love trying new foods, wines, beer, etc. I'm back in school right now on a path that will hopefully lead to a doctorate but that is still several years away. I swear that I should have been born in England or Ireland because of my physical features. I'm usually the guy that people turn to for an opinion or advice. I have a very strange sense of humor and sometimes come across as offensive even though I will never intentionally try to anger or upset someone. i really never know what to write in the self summary, honestly if you would like to know something please just ask.

Well that is totally easy... I am a lover of art,music,beauty in general. My family and friends are important to me. My dad was a jazz drummer (and a great one!) and taught me a great deal about music,art,and philosophy. I began reading Buddhist and Taoist texts at about 14. When through a pretty solid Nietzsche phase and still draw on his wisdom to this day. I enjoy meeting new people but prefer to have a very deep relationship and connection with a few people as opposed to many. Less is more. And we are all just standing still. I guess I have always been a sort of spiritual seeker, experimenting with various traditions and methods. I am a yogi who enjoys a variety of different yogas. But the Raja Yoga is my primary discipline. I basically believes our purpose on earth is to realize the Self. I suppose I would call my self a Goddess worshiper. It is important to me that my partner be at least curious about experiencing levels of reality not readily accessed.

I'm Rob! I love traveling and being active. Snowboarding and Tennis are the most exciting ways for me to spend my time. When I am not occupying my time with either of the above, I love being around the people I consider my friends and family, no matter how amazing a moment is, its always better with those that are close to you around you.

Another year gone by and weâ??re all still looking. I thought Iâ??d re-write my profile so that maybe by next New Yearâ??s Eve, I will be able to share it with the love of my life instead of watching others.

So that there will be no misunderstanding, I am looking for a long-term relationship, not just a series of dates. Unlike others, I do not like serial dating or dating many women at once.
